There is so much going on at Kindezi O4W

Dear Kindezi Family:

We are busy busy bees. There is always so much going on at the Kindezi School. I am reaching out to you to make sure that you are getting all of the information that you need to participate at any level that you desire. 

The following is a list of ways that we attempt to get information from Kindezi to you or ways that you can access notices and information about what is happening at our school at your convenience. 

  1. The Kindezi webpage posts new content every semester. It is managed by The Kindezi Village. You can find the webpage at: www.kindezi.org.
  2. Class Dojo is an app that sends out email alerts on classroom behavior and activities. It is managed by the teachers. Teachers post information about the classroom and the school. You will need to get the code from your teacher to access your child's Class Dojo www.classdojo.com.
  3. Engrade is an online application that our teachers use to record and manage your child's grades for each assignment. You will need to contact your child's teacher for your unique username and password. REMEMBER: There should be no surprises come report card time. 
  4. Email blast, if you are receiving this email you are part of this email blast. These emails are managed by the Parent Teacher Community Alliance (PTCA) and are sent out to anyone that is part of our email list.
  5. Remind  To receive messages from the PTCA via text, text @mserikah to 81010. You a can unsubscribe anytime by replying, 'unsubscribe@mserikah'. Trouble using 81010? try texting @mserikah to (678)249-3807 instead. Or to receive messages via email send an email to mrerikah@mail.remind.com. To 'unsubscribe' reply 'unsubscribe' in the subject line. 
  6. The "old fashion" PTCA Bulletin Board is located in the hallway across from the main office. It is maintained by the PTCA and your Parent Liaison, Ms. Erika Henson. If you want something posted send it toehenson@kindezi.org.
  7. The newsletter, Balipu is published and printed by the PTCA and is archived online. It is a collaboration between the PTCA and Kindezi Administration.
  8. The Parent Portal is a webpage that is managed by your PTCA. We call it the "beehive". News posts and announcements are updated regularly. You can find the parent portal at: http://beehive.kindezi.org.
  9. Flyers are sent home in homework folders. Each class sends information home differently and at different paces. Some classes have a Wednesday folder. Contact your child's teacher to ask about information sent home in the book bags.
  10. You are welcome at the Parent Cafe. The Parent Cafe is located at the second door behind the security desk. Just drop by and we have lots of information. Networking opportunities, schedules and posted announcements are available in the room.Come for a 'chinwag' and a cup of tea; network; job hunt; volunteer and get informed.
  11. Hint: When you see yellow signs out in the front in the round about there is a meeting at the school that night. 
  12. Join the PTCA! Occasionally, we have enough volunteers to make phone calls to PTCA members for whom we have a phone number.

  15. Room Parents are Golden- Please contact Ms. Erika Henson ehenson@kindezi.org to volunteer to be a room parent for the rest of the 2016 school year. 
We make every attempt to use up to eight of these communication tools at any time to get our messages out to you. We are always trying to get in contact with you. So, be suspicious, if things are too quiet and drop by the main office or Parent Cafe to ask us about what is going on.
